What shifts a cup of Chai to being a Masala Chai? A world of aromatic spices like cinnamon, fennel, cardamom, anise star, cloves, ginger, coriander and peppercorn. Serve brewed with water or milk, a couple drops of honey or sugar and a twirling cinnamon stick.
Traditional Chai Instructions
For one serving: Add half a mug (140ml)of boiling water to a pot and add one heaping tablespoons of Chai
Let simmer of low for 5 min
Add half a cup of your favourite milk and slowly heat until you can just see steam. The mixture should start to foam and rise, thats when you know its ready!
